JFCS Deeply Concerned about Congress Passing the Reconciliation Bill 

We are beyond disappointed and concerned by the passage of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” which imposes unprecedented cuts to Medicaid and SNAP. These cuts will strip vital healthcare and food assistance from millions of Americans, including children, older adults, immigrants, and people with disabilities.

As a longstanding social service provider, we have already seen the growing needs resulting from high inflation and hateful rhetoric toward members of our community. We expect this bill to result in even greater challenges, and JFCS remains unwavering in our commitment to support and advocate for the most vulnerable in our region. We are here, and will continue to be here, for our neighbors.
