Food Pantry staff are out and about

JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry is always pleased to help spread the word about what we do, and about healthy eating, usually on a limited budget. Arielle Kroser, Program Assistant at the Pantry, went to Beth Samuel Jewish Center in November. She talked with their students about food insecurity and what it’s like to shop at a food pantry.

With the adults we shared some recipes, tips and tricks for easy one-pot meals. After that, everyone came together to make an easy Mexican Quinoa dish for the whole congregation to enjoy!

Thanks to Beth Samuel for hosting us; we had a blast! If your organization or school is interested in learning about food insecurity, what we do at the Pantry, or healthy recipes and nutrition, please reach out to Arielle at akroser@jfcspgh.org.
