Community Support for the Pantry This Holiday Season

We’re so grateful to all the groups who have shown community support this holiday season with donations to the Pantry. Check out some of the ways our community has been involved over the past month!

Community Day School

Students from the Community Day School after school program decorated beautiful and reusable canvas bags to donate to JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry. The students received a visit from food pantry Director Matthew Bolton and Program Assistant Teresa Rodgers staff to learn why it is so important to donate to your community food pantry and how to fight hunger. The canvas bags will be given out to clients at the pantry.

JCC Center for Loving Kindness

Kids from the JCC’s James and Rachel Levinson Day Camp, South Hills Day Camp, and Early Childhood Development Center, along with campers at Hosanna House, Inc. and South Hills Interfaith Movement (SHIM) created 700 Kindness bags throughout the summer, many of which were distributed to JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry.

The Friendship Circle

The Friendship Circle Kids Who Care participants decorated, filled, and donated Thanksgiving dinner kit bags for our pantry clients.

Hillel Academy

Students at Hillel Academy collected toiletries to be donated to the pantry for our clients.

Pittsburgh Career Institute

Students at Pittsburgh Career Institute participated in a food drive to collect items for JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry.

Laurel Real Estate Services, LLC

JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry would like to thank Laurel Real Estate Services, LLC for the generous donation. The act of kindness is greatly appreciated and  because of your act we will be able to serve JFCS  families even more!
