At the end of every year we take time to reflect on the accomplishments of our agency, the work ahead of us and most importantly, the value of our generous and thoughtful donors, friends, funders, volunteers and community partners. With your help and support, so much of the work we accomplish in our community is possible.
As our 75th anniversary year comes to a close, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the United Way of Allegheny County, Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh and the Jewish Healthcare Foundation, the many foundations and government agencies, corporate and community partners, donors and supporters who have championed and invested in the work of JF&CS over the years.
We would like to thank everyone who opened up their hearts this year by making gifts to JF&CS, joining us at our Lifecycles & Laughtracks gala celebrating our 75th anniversary and choosing to generously support the work of JF&CS in our communities in so many ways.
We’ve always known that Pittsburgh is an incredibly giving, philanthropic city. Every day, dedicated community members devote themselves to very worthy causes like JF&CS. If you have already made a gift to JF&CS this year, thank you for your support. If you have been intending to make a gift and haven’t done so yet, you still can. We would greatly appreciate and welcome your end-of-year gifts! As so many in our community are in need, gifts both large and small make a huge difference, and help us prepare for the coming need in 2013.
Your gift to JF&CS is 100% tax-deductible, and you’ll receive a tax receipt for your contribution.
There are many ways of supporting JF&CS through a donation, including:
- Gifts of cash – Simply write and mail a check to JF&CS or donate online with a credit card.
- Gifts of Stock – Consider donating appreciated securities (stocks, bonds or mutual funds you’ve held for more than one year) to JF&CS. Go to our stock donation page for more information and instructions.
- Tribute Gifts – Give a gift that is from the heart — a donation in honor of someone special or in memory of a loved one. Donate online now and select JF&CS Tribute in the donor designation. Leave the rest to us — we’ll promptly mail a beautiful tribute card to the recipient.

We are eternally grateful for the many gifts of volunteer time, money and goods that came our way this year in support of the many departments and programs of JF&CS. Whether we are helping a family in need put food on their table, finding a forever home for a child through Family Hope Connection, helping an older adult maintain the highest level of independence and remain in their home safely for as long as possible or helping people get back to work at the Career Development Center, every one of us at JF&CS is committed to improving lives – every day, for every client — and we thank you for helping us to deliver on that promise.
