Special Needs

One of ten American families has a member with a physical or developmental disability. And that disability affects every other member of the family.

If your family faces this challenge, Jewish Family & Children's Service can help. Through our Special Needs Services, you'll have one-on-one access to an experienced, compassionate advocate who can help you navigate the legal, medical and educational systems that can be overwhelming to confront alone.

From physical disabilities that impair mobility, to behavioral issues related to ADHD and developmental disorders like autism, each disability presents its own set of challenges unique to you and your family. At Special Needs Services, we provide resources for dealing with all diagnoses.

We work with families to ensure that children, teens and adults with special needs receive access to all benefits, services and programs to which they are entitled. We offer information and referral services, counseling and support groups, advocacy, community outreach programming and more.
