AgeWell Visits

In Allegheny County, many individuals over the age of age of 65 live alone in their own homes. These seniors often spend hours alone each day - without company or with few human interactions. A lack of connection to others can be easily improved by having a friendly volunteer visit!

AgeWell Visits connects seniors to volunteers who will chat (but mostly listen!), help with little household projects (ie. watering houseplants or organizing photo albums), play games like Scrabble or cards, help read the newspaper out loud for someone whose eyesight is failing, write down simple oral histories - any number of easily shared activities to help brighten a senior’s day.

Communication is an integral part of continued mental and physical health as we age! AgeWell Visits keeps older adults, 65+ connected to our community.
