Lunch & Learn: Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)

An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until September 17, 2025
Join us for this 4-part series designed to empower parents and guardians with skills, tools, and confidence to support children with anxiety.
All sessions are virtual at 1 pm and open to parents/guardians of school age children aged 7-18 still living in the home with a recognized anxiety disorder.
✅Sept 3: What is SPACE? This session will cover the acronym Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions, education about anxiety disorders, and how the SPACE modality can bring positive change.
✅Sept 10: Parent Support Skills. Learn effective communication techniques rooted in SPACE principles to help you respond constructively when your child feels anxious.
✅Sept 17: Changing Accommodations, Tips and Tools. Understand the concept of accommodations and how shifting them can lower anxiety levels. Walk away with actionable strategies you can implement at home.
✅Oct 22: Final Q&A (optional): We will wrap up the series with an interactive session to ask questions, share feedback, and apply what you’ve learned in a supportive environment.
