Every Monday, March 9-30 – Kickstart Your Motivation
This workshop series is an educational and discussion group that will meet the needs of individuals who are struggling with motivation as it relates to employment.
March 12 – Navigating Unemployment Compensation
A workforce development representative from the PA Department of Labor & Industry, Office of Unemployment Compensation will present an overview of the unemployment compensation process.
March 19 – Navigating Online Applications
Join us at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall in Carnegie, PA for a workshop on navigating online applications.
March 24 – Career Development Support Group
This co-facilitated, topical discussion group is designed to support individuals coping with stress arising from the loss of a job or change in career trajectory.
March 25 – Nuts & Bolts of Gig Economy Work
Join us at the Penn Hills Library to learn about the logistics of side hustles and gig economy jobs. Topics include taxes, insurance, and other topics related to working as an independent contractor.
March 26 – Brief Career Counseling
Get expert help from a professional career counselor with JFCS Career Development Center. Bring a resume for review and questions about your career path. We encourage registration to guarantee an appointment–call 412-622-3133.
March 31 – Preparing for Career Fair Success
This session will focus on how to get the most out of attending a Career Fair, including the Career & Community Resource Fair on April 3rd.
April 2 – Successful Career Transitions after 50
Join us at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Carrick to learn about the challenges facing the “sandwich” generation, strategies for making a successful career transition and opportunities after retirement.
