Special Immigrant Juveniles in Family Court-Allegheny County, Pennsylvania

Jewish Family and Community Services together with the Honorable Judge Eleanor Bush and Dawn Walters from KidsVoice, will provide a CLE Webinar providing information for family law attorneys to represent minors in Family Court proceedings (dependency and custody) with the purpose of securing the requisite predicate orders for their immigration proceedings.

The training will provide an introduction to the multiple participants to these proceedings, the history of this special immigration status, and the cultural background and ethical considerations experienced in these cases.

Attendees will understand how the immigration court and family court intersect for these children and learn how to draft petitions to successfully obtain the very specialized findings of fact and orders of court required by immigration judges.

This webinar will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm.
