JF&CS Recognizes “The Imprint and Impact of Collaboration”

Each year, JF&CS board members, supporters, donors, collaborators and staff come together at the Annual Meeting to share in the accomplishments of the agency over the previous year, and to look forward to the upcoming year’s work.

This year, JF&CS will hold its Annual Meeting on Monday, May 13th at 7 p.m. at Rodef Shalom Congregation. We hope you’re planning to join us!

Beginning with a kosher dessert reception at 6:30 p.m., the evening’s program will include reports from Board President Joel Rosenthal and JF&CS President & CEO, Aryeh Sherman, as well as JF&CS board members and community partners. The JF&CS board will also present the annual Dr. Howard A. Mermelstein Leadership Award to Fern G. Schwartz, for her leadership and service to JF&CS.  Fern is Senior Vice President/Senior Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, and currently serves as the Secretary of the JF&CS Board of Directors. She also serves as a member of the Executive Committee and as co-chair of the Governance Committee.

The evening will continue with special recognition of the many partner agencies and organizations throughout Pittsburgh that help JF&CS impact so many lives in the community.  Through the building of partnerships, JF&CS has been able to significantly expand services in multiple areas, and we are grateful to our partners and collaborators in the community for their financial, strategic and programmatic support, which helps us broaden our reach to more than 8,000 individuals each year.

As the community’s needs continue to grow, more individuals and families are facing lifecycle transitions and crises and turning to JF&CS for help. Every one of us at JF&CS is committed to changing lives for the better, and through the work of our board and staff, our community partners and supporters, we’ve been able to continue to provide the innovative and effective service our community needs, and will continue to do so every day.

We hope to see you on May 13th!
