On Friday, May 20, the Pittsburgh Pirates invited JFCS Refugee & Immigrant Services staff to join them in the Pirates Charities Suite for their game against the Cardinals. It was an incredible honor, and we were thrilled to be able to say thank you to them for all they do. Not only did our hard working Refugee staff get to enjoy the suite, but the Pirates provided tickets for any JFCS staff member who wanted to come enjoy the game!
It was so much fun to see some of our newer staff members from Afghanistan, who brought their families, enjoy their first Major League Baseball game!
Our staff had a great time at the game and enjoyed cheering on our favorite team. We want to extend our thanks to the Pirates for inviting us and we’re looking forward to more games together in the future.
