Honoring our social workers during National Social Work Appreciation Month

The month of March is National Social Work Appreciation Month, and as part of this month of appreciation for social workers everywhere, Jewish Family & Children’s Service would like to recognize the outstanding and tireless work of our social workers and professional staff. Together, we are able to impact more than 8,000 individuals and families who turn to us for help each year.

The social workers and professional staff at JF&CS are some of the very best and most respected professionals in their fields. These individuals play a critical role in helping to improve the social and economic conditions for thousands of people in emotional, financial and physical need. JF&CS social workers are involved in a wide range of services, including adoption services through Family Hope Connection; career services through the Career Development Center; counseling through Squirrel Hill Psychological Services; food-assistance through the Squirrel Hill Community Food Pantry; critical needs and emergency assistance; elder care; guardianship; services for refugees and legal immigrants; services for individuals with special needs and their families and more.

Our social workers are committed to empowering our clients, helping them to address their full scope of need and acting as bridges to additional resources. They help to ease JF&CS clients through life transitions and crises and guide them through their journeys.

JF&CS’s social workers show an immense passion for their work that makes a tremendous difference in the lives of so many members of our community, and they deserve appreciation every day.

To our JF&CS social workers and colleagues, thank you for your role in supporting and strengthening our agency and our entire community!
