JFCS Immigration Legal Services department is a dynamic team responsible for representing the most vulnerable immigrants and refugees in our area with dedication, compassion and skill. We are looking to expand our team and hire an experienced family law attorney to help our underage clients navigate the family court process which will allow them to move forward with their immigration cases. Job duties would include some direct client representation as well as coordinating the recruitment, training and mentoring of pro bono attorneys, and organizing educational and outreach presentations in the community.
Please have a JD and be admitted to the Pennsylvania and/or West Virginia Bar. Excellent communication and organizational skills are paramount. You must have some experience working in family court including confirmation of custody and dependency petitions. Experience with Special Immigrant Juvenile Status is a plus. We require all staff to be culturally sensitive.
It would be incredibly helpful if you have an interest in immigration law. Experience working with volunteers is appreciated and preference is given to bilingual speakers.
