SUMMARY:Healing with Nature Mosaic Project
DESCRIPTION:This program is designed to respond to the human experience of grief and loss through the healing power of nature and of creative expression. \nCommunity members of all ages will be guided through soulful self-reflections\, vehicles for creative expression\, and tender encounters with the natpural world and with one another. Mosaic artist\, Laura Jean McLaughlin\, will guide participants in the collective creation of a community mosaic mural\, gathering shattered pieces together to tell a story of community healing and resilience. \nRegistration for this program is required. Visit the 10.27 Healing Partnership to register. For more information please contact Ranisa Davidson at rdavidson@jccpgh.org\, (412) 339-5424 \n  \nOrganized by JFCS\, 10.27 Healing Partnership\, Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh\, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and Media\, Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy\, and Lively Pittsburgh. \nThe program is offered at no cost thanks to the generous support of Pittsburgh’s Foundation community. The Pittsburgh Center for Arts and Media Artist Residency Project led by Ceramicist/Teaching Artist Laura Jean McLaughlin is supported in part by the Arts in Education Partnership of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts\, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
