Nature Mandalas in the Biblical Garden at Rodef Shalom

September 2 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Are you ready to escape the stress of the week and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the Rodef Shalom Congregation‘s Biblical Garden? Join JFCS art therapists Kelly Moore and Angelica Joy Miskanin on Friday, September 2nd from 1-2:30pm for a brief guided meditation and the creation of nature mandalas.

The word “mandala” comes from Sanskrit, meaning “circle”. Mandalas are often used by artists for spiritual, emotional, or psychological expression to focus one’s attention. Using materials found in nature can lend to the practice of mindfulness, helping us more closely pay attention to what is around us in the present moment and emphasizing the impermanence of the natural world. Join us for this relaxing afternoon and make your own nature mandal!

All ages welcome!
