Career Development Support Group (CDSG)
October 29, 2019 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
CDSG is a topical discussion group designed to support CDC clients in coping with the stress and emotions arising from situational loss, such as loss of a job or change in career trajectory. Techniques and coping mechanisms are discussed to help lessen the impact of these challenges and allow participants to more easily transition into a healthy job search process. Participants should feel supported and experience a sense of normalcy in realizing they are not alone in the emotions that arise during the job search.
CDSG can help you to: Overcome the emotional fallout of job loss | Stabilize your identity during and beyond career transition | Set goals and priorities in your job search | Address how to handle concerns, such as ageism, health, and medical issues | Mitigate financial anxiety | Learn techniques for self and dependent care during a time of transition | Consider strategies to advance in your career | Manage your relationships while in the job search
To participate, you must be a currently enrolled JFCS Career Development Center client.
