This past month, members of the JFCS Squirrel Hill Food Pantry attended the webinar series called Building a Resilient Food Culture hosted by Food21, Pitt Honors College, and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. This five-part series explores the opportunities and challenges for food assistance programs caused by COVID-19. The most recent event was entitled Food is Medicine. A fun fact from this event was: it takes 12 times of trying a new food to accept it into your diet. So give that weird-looking fruit or vegetable another chance!
