Littles Shoes go a long way in helping clients at the Squirrel Hill Community Food Pantry!

At JF&CS and our Squirrel Hill Community Food Pantry (SHCFP), our community partners are vital to our mission to help everyone who walks through our door. When our community comes together to help those most in need, it is a step forward in repairing the world.

Last Wednesday, Littles Shoes in Squirrel Hill donated several hundred pairs of shoes for Pantry clients. Naot, a shoe manufacturer in Israel, collaborated to help make this donation possible. Nearly 150 clients visited the Pantry last week to pick out and be fitted for shoes by owners Joel and Justin Sigal.

SHCFP provides food assistance for those living in the 15217 zip code, kosher households outside of 15217 and those in need of emergency food assistance in surrounding communities. We also strive to help clients with additional social services related to critical needs, unemployment and more. Collaboration and partnership is crucial to continuing our necessary and impactful work throughout our communities. We’re extraordinarily grateful for our many community partners, funders and supporters who recognize the importance of our work and help us to continue to serve those who turn to us in times of need.

Thank you to Joel and Justin Sigal, owners of Littles Shoes, for choosing SHCFP as the beneficiary of this wonderful donation and for the contribution of your time in helping fit the Naot shoes to our client’s needs. We could not achieve as much as we do without the support of Joel and Justin and our many other community supporters.
