Caregiver Connection

Having a reliable, trustworthy and caring caregiver is often critical to keeping your aging loved one safely at home. Through our Caregiver Connection, JF&CS provides fully-screened, trained and experienced caregivers for short- or long-term engagements, with 24/7 back-up coverage as needed.

How We Help

• Fully-screened and trained caregivers provide home-based services that ease the difficulties brought on by advanced age, recuperation after an illness or surgery or the challenges of managing special needs.
• In-home personal assistance is provided by trusted and experienced caregivers.
• Caregiver Connection staff screens and provides quarterly training for caregivers. Since this is a referral service, clients negotiate fees directly with caregivers.
• Specialized services from personal care and light housekeeping to dementia care are provided. Caregivers are available for long-term or short-term engagements.
• 24/7 back up coverage is provided, ensuring that you are not left without critical coverage/care.

Meet the People We Help

• A few years after the death of her husband, Belle* began having bouts of depression that kept her isolated from the rest of the world around her. The obvious solution to daughter Cheryl* (who lived in Europe) and son Jeff* was to relocate their mother to North Carolina where Jeff lived. However, like many older adults, Belle did not want to burden her children and did not want to release her independence. Pittsburgh was her home, and she wasn't leaving.
